Hi, I am the author of Family Court HELL, the book the UK divorce industry tried to stop.
I am a father whose marriage ended when the mother walked out taking the three children then aged 2, 4 & 6 with her.
Between the mother leaving back in 1993 and my full relationship with my daughters being restored in 2003, I went to the secret family court's of Britain 133 times, appeared before 33 different judges, got jailed twice for contempt of court (served a total of 129 days) in the case that the national press deemed 'Britain's Worst Access Case Ever'. The estimated cost to the UK Taxpayer was believed to exceed £1,000,000.
Some of the worst legal actions included one judge accepting the mothers boyfriend was abusing the children, despite his and the mothers denials, then after hearing the same man make five threats to kill the father from the witness box, sent him home to live with the children while jailing the dad for waving to the kids. (4 months, served 45 days). Of course, the abuse continued for many years by the mothers boyfriend, but the courts did nothing. They chose to ignore it all.
Years later, another judge, again after refusing to deal with the mothers multiple breaches of the contact order, chose instead to jail the father again, this time for trying to bribe the mother with money into complying with the contact order and attempting to see his children between the court ordered contact visits that were just not taking place (10 months this time, served 84 days).
All of this utter farce was only resolved when the children walked out on the mother and turned up with their belongings at the fathers house-then the court FAXED a residence order to the Dad with no court hearing needed, which resolved the entire matter.
The protest group FATHERS 4 JUSTICE was formed from the human rights abuses that the family courts inflicted upon my family and I. My eldest daughter, Lisa, has written about her feelings regarding what took place, and a leading USA family law reform Campaigner, Dr Stephen Baskerville, a lecturer on social science at Howard University, Washington DC has contributed a chapter detailing the similar abuses the divorce industry inflict upon fathers and families in the states.
